ABOUT LEN PETERSON
Len Peterson is an award winning Cinematographer who’s credits span feature films & premium television of all genres as well as documentary and music videos. He has over 30 years of experience in the camera department and has been a member of IATSE local 669 since 1996. Recent credits include feature films for Universal Pictures such as Violent Night 2 (David Harbor, Kristen Bell, Jared Harris), Nobody 2 (Bob Odenkirk, Sharon Stone, Connie Nielsen & Christopher Lloyd), and Love Hurts (Ke Huy Quan & Arian DeBose) as well the independent feature Normal (Bob Odenkirk, Lena Headey & Henry Winkler). On these projects, Len was the 2nd unit Director of Photography accounting for 25-30% of the shooting schedules. Over his career he has also worked with renowned directors such as Jodie Foster & Andrew Stanton and actors such as Robin Williams, Woodie Harrelson and Jennifer Connelly to name a few. He has won awards for Best Cinematography at the New York Horror festival and Best Music Video at the Urban World festival also in New York.


In addition he has worked on and supported numerous indigenous led film projects recognizing the importance of sharing stories from a broad range of perspectives especially those in under represented demographics in the film industry. Within the documentary world he has focussed on important current issues like indigenous land rights, climate change and the interconnectivity of all living things.
Len has always found his artistic expression in telling stories through visual language as what comes most naturally and he enjoys working with collaborative filmmakers to find each story’s unique visual approach. Listening to people, treating them with respect and kindness are qualities he actively maintains and sees this as being every bit as important as the creative elements of filmmaking.
